Effective August 9th, CBP is transitioning to schedule appointments from 14 days to 21 days in advance to allow noncitizens additional time to prepare and arrange travel to their requested port of entry. If you are notified that you received an appointment, you will have 23 hours to accept and schedule your appointment.CBP continuously monitors this process to ensure equitable allocation of appointments and to combat fraudulent activity. Appointments are allocated only to those who asked for an appointment the previous day. Appointments do not guarantee admission and a determination of admissibility is made on a case-by-case basis by CBP Officers. The remainder are allocated to the requestors with the oldest accounts who have been waiting the longest for an appointment. Each day, CBP One™ allocates the majority of appointments randomly to those who requested an appointment at each port of entry. The time to make this request runs for 23 hours from 11 a.m. You must submit a daily request for an appointment by accessing CBP One™ and selecting "Ask for an Appointment".You no longer need to access CBP One™ at 10 a.m.Read about the new process in our Press Release. Starting May 10, 2023, the CBP One™ application will allow for additional time to complete the appointment request process. Starting April 29, 2023, the CBP One™ application will remove the vulnerability requirement in preparation for the end of Title 42. Updates were made to enhance the geolocation service required to schedule an appointment. This includes requiring individuals to submit their information prior to and separate from scheduling an appointment.
